I studied the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport on the Futsal and Education Scholarship and proudly achieved a triple Distinction. I am now studying a BSc Degree in Strength and Conditioning (Hons) whilst working as a Full time Futsal Coach in the Saints Foundation. This is an achievement that I would have never imagined possible after leaving school; especially after a wasted first year in mainstream education at a local Sixth Form College, where I was on course for triple Pass, rather than the triple Distinction that I graduated with” Jacob TomsFutsal and Education Scholarship 2012-2014

After graduating from the Saints Foundation Futsal and Education Scholarship, I got a scholarship to play football in America at Mount Aloysuis College Pennsylvania.

The great thing about the Futsal and Education Scholarship is that it splits your time in the classroom with the time spent playing Futsal. The course is completed online and you get more 1:1 tuition, so it’s a more laid back approach to learning.” Ricky AbbsFutsal and Education Scholarship 2011-2013.

The Futsal and Education Scholarship is a really good course to be a part of. You go to classes at the stadium, and the classes are quite small so you gets lot of 1:1 time with the teachers. At the end of the day you are really learning and working hard and then getting to play Futsal which is a great bonus, and it filled me with pride to be able to wear Saints kit on a daily basis.

I am now studying Health and Physical Education at Friends University in Wichita, Kansas; where I am still playing Football, which is what I love to do.” Joe Selby– Futsal and Education Scholarship 2011-2013

After graduating from the Futsal and Education Scholarship with a triple Merit grade, I am now a student on the Foundation Football Community Coaching and Development Degree. I also work part-time for the Saints Foundation, coaching in the after-school sessions and holiday sessions. I feel that the courses that I have undertaken with Saints Foundation have equipped me with skills and experience needed to succeed in my future career as a Football Coach.” Tom KempsterFutsal and Education Scholarship 2011-2013; Foundation Degree 2013-2015

I completed the Futsal and Education Scholarship in July 2014, achieving the highest possible grade of triple Distinction, which is the equivalent of three A’s at A Level. With the results I achieved on my BTEC I had offers from some of the best Universities in the Country, but I chose the Foundation Community Football Coaching and Development Degree as it offers me the chance to gain the necessary qualifications and work experience within an amazing learning environment. Most importantly, I feel that this course offers me greater understanding of the demands of working within the Football Industry.” Will CarrFutsal and Education Scholarship 2012-2014; Foundation Degree 2014-2016
