Delivered at 12 venues across Southampton and Eastleigh on various weekday evenings, Saints Kicks offers positive sporting and development opportunities to young people aged 8-19.
By engaging young people in both football and, with support of community partners, multi-sport activities, the project aims to create a sporting habit for life, as well as help break down barriers between young people and authority figures, including the Police.
Saints Kicks is now finished for the summer break with the project returning on the week commencing 16th September. In the meantime, we will be running our Saints Kicks Street Games – find out more below.
I feel I’ve made a lot more friends and I am going out a lot more and feel much more safe when you are out doing this with them. I have had more opportunities to do things that I like such as playing football in tournaments.” Cody – Saints Kicks Participant.
Kicks Street Games
Kicks Street Games offers young people between the ages of 8-19 the chance to take part in free open access sporting activities throughout the half terms. The next one is throughout the summer holidays. The sessions are across Southampton, free, and cater for all abilities. All sessions are led by qualified coaches, allowing young people to socialise whilst taking part in various sports.
Kicks Street Games returns this summer at four locations across Southampton. They are Mansel Park, St Mary’s Hub, Daisy Dip and Hinkler Green. The sessions will be running from 5th-31st August, click on the locations for more information.
Running alongside Street Games, we will also be hosting our ever popular Saints Street Sessions, in partnership with Team Extreme, at Veracity Skate Park, Hinkler Green and Hoglands Park. Come along for shows, demonstrations and get involved too.
